Vice President Enterprise Architecture

Codan, an ASX-listed global technology group developing communications and detection solutions for customers across defence, public safety, humanitarian and consumer markets, have engaged TESS Search Partners to appoint a Head of Enterprise Systems & Architecture. Codan’s businesses combine specialist engineering expertise with an international presence, delivering products and solutions to more than 150 countries. Reporting to the Group COO, this appointment will shape Codan’s global enterprise systems strategy and architecture that supports its operations. **The Role** The Vice President Enterprise Systems & Architecture will take ownership of the enterprise application portfolio, including ERP, CRM, HRIS and other core platforms. A key focus will be simplifying the systems landscape, strengthening integration and ensuring technology decisions support business priorities. Key responsibilities include: - Develop and deliver the enterprise systems strategy and technology roadmap. - Oversee core business platforms, ensuring stability, performance and alignment with operational requirements. - Consolidate and rationalise applications to reduce complexity and improve consistency across the Group. - Establish enterprise architecture principles, standards and governance to guide systems decisions. - Partner with business leaders to redesign processes and improve efficiency through technology. - Govern integrations, APIs and data flows, establishing scalable standards across platforms. - Ensure enterprise systems meet security and compliance requirements. - Build the enterprise systems and architecture function, working closely with internal stakeholders, technology vendors and delivery partners. **About You** This opportunity calls for an experienced enterprise systems professional who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery capability. You will have experience across ERP, CRM and core business platforms, alongside a background in transformation programs, process improvement and automation. You will be confident translating business priorities into a clear technology roadmap and establishing architecture standards that support consistent decisions across the organisation. Experience working in a complex, and ideally global setting is critical to success in this role. Exposure to AI adoption and digital transformation will be valuable, including an understanding of the systems, data and governance required to turn opportunities into practical business outcomes. Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to build productive relationships with senior leaders and technical specialists will be essential.
